What is the cost of treatment? Do you accept insurance?
,
The fee is $200 for a standard 50-minute psychotherapy session. Please note that session fees are subject to change. Sliding scale opportunities are available.
I do not accept insurance and am not a member of any insurance panel; however, please consider asking your insurance company for a Single Case Agreement to make treatment more affordable. I will provide you with a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company, which may reimburse you for part or all of the session fee. Please call your insurance company prior to scheduling the first visit to determine what your reimbursement rate is for out-of-network providers.
What should I expect from the first visit?
,
For our first visit, we will discuss what’s bringing you into therapy and establish goals for our work together. In order to better understand you and who you are, I will ask you questions about your mental health history, your family, any prior mental health treatment, and medical problems. If appropriate, I will provide you with a mental health diagnosis, and we will discuss treatment options and decide together how to proceed with psychotherapy.
Do you offer in-person treatment? Do you offer telehealth (virtual) services?
,
I offer telehealth (virtual) services for clients within the state of CA. In-person services are held from my office in Los Angeles.
PMH-C stands for Perinatal Mental Health Certification. This designation is earned and awarded by Postpartum Support International and recognizes proficiency and expertise in perinatal mental health.
Do you prescribe medication?
,
No. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), which means that my license is to provide psychotherapy only. I work closely with many psychiatrists who have specializations in working with a wide range of patients, including pregnant and postpartum women, and may make a referral if necessary. If you are interested in a referral to a psychiatrist, please discuss it in our first meeting.
What is your cancellation policy?
,
Appointments must be canceled 24 hours in advance. Appointments that are canceled less than 24 hours in advance will be charged the full session fee. Clients who plan to be away for more than 2 weeks will be charged the full session fee to keep their spot in the practice.
